Not so cute! Raccoon takes a bite out of man's hand (video)

Aaaah, raccoons: friendly creatures with cute little masked faces and soft fur, right?

Don't let that fool you.

This man in the US thought he would try his luck with a bunch of wild raccoons he spotted hanging around by a fence with a cat.

He carefully edged his way towards to the group and tried to lure them in with a treat.

Thinking he was in luck the man pushed his hand out with a treat to tempt one brave raccoon.

However he was in for quite a shock when the animal finally reached him.

Instead of daintily swiping the treat from the man's hand the animal snapped and bit the man's hand.

Clearly shocked the man can be seen quickly drawing his hand away before backing off from the animals, holding his bleeding hand in the air.

This is precisely why you can't always trust an animal based on how cute they look...
