If this beautiful panda posing for cuddly selfies with its keeper doesn't melt your heart, then nothing will.

The adorable panda bear first showed off its affection for his foster dad with some cute kisses.

After a few belly rubs and scratches, the panda, who lives at the giant panda conservation in China, was ready for its big close up.

As the keeper gets out his phone for a selfie, the cub responds by putting its arm around him for the perfect shot.

The pair posed for some pics and then the panda apparently wanted to see how it looked in the shot afterwards. But who doesn't, right?

The panda is native to south central China and lives in a few mountain ranges, mainly in Sichuan province, but also in neighbouring provinces like Shaanxi and Gansu.

As a result of farming, deforestation, and other development, the giant panda has been driven out of the lowland areas where it once lived.

It is now a conservation-reliant endangered species.

A panda's diet is over 99% bamboo. Giant pandas in the wild will occasionally eat other grasses, or even meat in the form of birds, rodents or carrion. In captivity, they may receive honey, eggs, fish, yams, shrub leaves, oranges, or bananas along with specially prepared food.
