Whale shark tries to nibble girl's legs

... and she appears to be rather ticklish

Girl Encounters Whale Shark

While snorkeling with the whale sharks in the Philippines, this girl got stuck between the boat and the shark, leading to the whale shark attempting to take a nibble on the girl's legs.

According to National Geographic, the whale shark is the largest fish in the sea, and can reach lengths of 40 feet (12 meters) or more.

They are harmless to humans, feeding mainly on plankton and small fish that happen to be around, scooping their food up with their colossal gaping mouths while swimming close to the water's surface.

The whale shark lives in warm waters, migrating every spring to the continental shelf of the central west coast of Australia. The coral spawning of the area's Ningaloo Reef provides the whale shark with an abundant supply of plankton.

They are currently listed as a vulnerable specie, although they continue to be hunted in parts of Asia, including the Philippines.
