Drone photographers capture the new 'Seven Wonders of the World'

A group of drone photographers have captured an incredible series of images of the new 'Seven Wonders of the World'.

The pictured, by Russian non-profit AirPano, show amazing views of some of the world's most famous landmarks, including Petra, the Taj Mahal and the Great Wall of China.

According to the Daily Mirror, the group spent years shooting the panoramic shots to display their splendour.



More than 100 million people voted for their favourite landmarks from 200 and the Great Wall of China, Petra, the Roman Colosseum, Machu Picchu, the Taj Mahal, Christ the Redeemer and the Pyramid at Chichén Itzá came out on top.

Speaking to the Daily Star, photographer Sergey Semenov said some of the locations were difficult to capture by drone.



"All these places we photographed by using radio controlled helicopters – drones.



"Sometimes it wasn't very easy to shoot there, because special permission is required in some of these locations.



"As drones become more popular, it got almost impossible to use it in many places."
