What is this large blue 'UFO' over the California sky?
A strange blue and white light shooting through the night sky in California had people thinking there was a UFO in town.
Others thought it might have been a meteor or an asteroid, and one online user even joked it was the 'Death Star' from Star Wars.
One witness, Julien Solomoita, uploaded footage of the 'UFO' to YouTube, and it's now been watched over 350,000 times.

But the US Navy stepped in and stopped everyone from scratching their heads as they unveiled the truth: that the light was an unarmed Trident missile test, fired from a submarine off the southern California coast, reports the Metro.
According to KTLA, Navy commander Ryan Perry told the San Diego Union-Tribune: "Each test activity provides valuable information about our systems, thus contributing to assurance in our capabilities."
#OCSDPIO: Light seen in OC sky was confirmed through JWA tower to be a Naval test fire off the coast. No further details.

But dozens of people were left flummoxed first of all, and took to social media to share what they spotted.
