THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED

One of the hottest new routes launching in 2016 is British Airways' direct flights from London Gatwick to Lima, Peru, up to three times a week from 4 May. To celebrate this and the Big British Airways Take Off, we've teamed up with the airline to offer one lucky AOL Travel reader the chance to win a pair of return tickets on the new Peru route.

The winner and a friend will travel in the World Traveller full-service cabin, packed with all the comfort and benefits you expect from British Airways including:

- Generous free baggage allowance
- Delicious meals and full bar service
- Personal entertainment system with complimentary headphones

Peru is home to a section of the Amazon rainforest and Machu Picchu, an ancient Incan city set high in the Andes Mountains. The area surrounding Machu Picchu, including the Sacred Valley, the Inca Trail and the lively city of Cusco, is also rich in Incan sites as well as hiking, rafting and mountain-biking opportunities. If it's Lima itself you fancy exploring, there is impressive colonial architecture, elegant district Miraflores and a world-class culinary scene to discover in the exciting city.

Competition closes at 9pm on 20 September 2015. There are three ways to enter:

Via Instagram: Follow @aol_travel_uk and post one of your best holiday snaps telling us where it was taken, with the @aol_travel_uk tag and #AOLtakemetoPeru hashtag.
