Sabrina Corgatelli Sparks Outrage for Hunting Photos

American huntress Sabrina Corgatelli has sparked online fury and disgust by posting pictures of her latest kills on social media.

In the wake of the controversy over the horrific death of Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe, she is using the incident to try bring attention to her own trophy hunts.

On her Facebook page, Sabrina, from Boise, Idaho, counted down the days to a "trip of a lifetime" to a private conservancy 20 kilometres from the Kruger National Park in South Africa, where she proceeded to hunt and kill a range of beautiful animals for no apparent reason apart from satisfying a bloodlust that most humans cannot understand.

Before her trip, she posted a meme of Leonardo DiCaprio, a well-known conservationist, writing: "To all the haters. Stay tuned, you're gonna have so much more to be p***** off about."

She proceeded to post gut-wrenching pictures of her kills, including a giraffe, kudu, impala, warthog, and wildebeest.

Got me a beautiful Blue Wildebeest today!! The guys at Old Days Safari got me another great trophy!!

Of the kudu, she wrote: "Yesterday, day 1 an amazing day!!! Got my beautiful beautiful Kudu!! It was my #1 want on my list and I got him on the first day!!! Loving it there!!"

About the giraffe, she wrote: ""Day #2 I got an amazing old giraffe. Such an amazing animal!! I couldn't be any happier!! My emotion after getting him was a feeling I will never forget!!!"

According to the Mirror, Corgatelli, an accountant for Idaho State University, quotes the bible in response to her critics. She wrote: "Genesis 27:3 says, 'Now then, take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me.'"

Genesis 9:3 says, "Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you...

Online users have blasted the woman as "disgusting" and Ricky Gervais has spoken up about her recent posts on Twitter, branding her a "sicko".

He wrote: "What's really sad nowadays is that these big game trophy hunters see fame as an added bonus to their perversion. Just like serial killers.

"There's a new extreme 'untress desperate for publicity. Being known as scum is better to the cold hearted than not being known at all. Sad.

"What's great about this new sicko is that she basically claims God wants her to go out and kill everything. It's as good a reason as any :)"

Following the death of Cecil the lion at the hands of American dentist Walter Palmer, Zimbabwe has restricted the hunting of lions, leopards and elephants, as well as suspending bow and arrow hunts, unless authorised by the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Dr Palmer shot the lion with a crossbow on 1 July after illegally luring it out of a national park onto private land with a carcass of an animal.

The dentist then tracked down the wounded animal and shot it dead with a gun.

He had paid $35,000 for a licence and said he relied on his guides to ensure the hunt was legal.

Zimbabwean authorities say the hunt was illegal and are seeking his extradition from Minnesota.

Two Zimbabweans, a farmer and a professional hunter, have been arrested over Cecil's death.
