THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED

Fancy escaping to stunning Yorkshire this spring? We're giving you the chance to win a luxury break for two at The Black Swan, located in the heart of chocolate-box market town Helmsley.

One lucky AOL Travel reader will enjoy an indulgent overnight stay in the hotel for two people, including traditional Afternoon Tea and a six-course dinner in the hotel's 3AA rosette restaurant The Gallery, overnight accommodation in a feature bedroom and full English breakfast.

The Black Swan has a rich heritage over some 500 years. Originally a coaching inn, frequented by the Helmsley Flyer, nowadays it is a stylish 45-bedroom boutique property situated in the southern tip of the North York Moors.

Various elements of the hotel exterior show three typical architectural styles of various historic periods, including Tudor, Georgian and Elizabethan. With four stars and three AA rosettes, the acclaimed and stylish hotel is renowned for its warm welcome, superb dining and quintessentially English afternoon tea. Atmospheric and cosy, the hotel's interior is full of character, a homely ambience and comfortable surroundings, which include oak-beamed lounges, a stylish bar area and pretty tearooms.

In the summer, guests love the tiered English walled gardens to the rear, which border the local churchyard, and a new oak crafted garden pavilion provides the opportunity to enjoy an aperitif in the evening sun.

Chef Patrick Bardoulet has extensive culinary experience, having worked in many high-calibre, Michelin-starred restaurants, following classical French training. He works alongside farm, sea and artisan suppliers of fresh produce from Yorkshire, bringing creative dishes to his menus.

Helmsley itself boasts walled gardens, castle ruins and a collection of eclectic boutiques selling gifts, artwork, designer fashions, country wear and fine local foods. Right on the doorstep you will find a variety of landscapes and history to explore – from the Dales, the Moors and the rugged coastlines. To the North, miles of beautiful, rugged moorland roads lead to well-known seaside haunts on Yorkshire's coastline to discover, including Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough.

If you're not lucky enough to win, you can still enjoy a foodie break at The Black Swan with the Spoilt for Choice one and two night stays tailored for gourmands, which include Champagne afternoon tea on the first day, a three-course dinner and overnight accommodation with full English breakfast. The optional second night with Chef's signature six-course taster menu is also available. Prices start from £235 per room (based on a one-night stay, Sunday to Thursday only, until 31 August 2015).
