Passenger thrown off Egypt to Manchester fight after 'threatening to kill everyone'

A British holidaymaker who allegedly threatened to "kill anybody that comes near me" was removed by an armed offer from a Manchester-bound flight in Egypt.

The pilot of Thomas Cook Airways flight TCX 2515 from Hurghada to Manchester turned the plane around on Friday evening after it had started taxiing on the runway.

The unruly man had already rattled fellow passengers' nerves on the bus taking them to the plane.

He reportedly threatened to kill anyone that came near him before punching the bus door.

The man's disruptive behaviour continued on the plane, forcing the pilot's decision to turn the plane around and return to its stand.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Tony Penner, who was on the flight with his girlfriend, said: "He was with his partner who was also unsteady. He started shouting 'I'll kill anybody who gets near me on the plane.'

"It was a shocking thing to hear, we felt threatened. Then he started punching the bus door. He wasn't a happy chap."

Penner said as soon as the steps went down on the plane, an armed officer boarded and the man, who had a Mancunian accent, was removed.

He added: "He needs to have his passport taken off him, he's an idiot. I was relieved to see him taken off. Everyone applauded."

A Thomas Cook Airlines spokesman told the Daily Mail: "We have a zero tolerance policy towards any behaviour on board affecting the safety and welfare of our crew and customers.

"We'd like to thank those on board for the patience during the short delay to their flight home."

The plane took off 40 minutes after the incident, without the man on board.
