Driver threatens family with chainsaw in terrifying road rage incident (video)
A driver terrified a family by threatening them with a chainsaw in Canada.
Karine Cyr was travelling with her husband and two children in Montreal when she said the man cut them off and was driving erratically.
Her husband, Alexandre Hermenier, said the driver was so aggressive he followed the vehicle to get the licence plate number for the police.
According to Fox News, when they all ended up in a dead end road, the family's car blocked the man's vehicle from leaving.
So he got out of his car and threatened them with a running chainsaw in a terrifying incident that left the children screaming and crying from the back seat.
The man can be seen shouting "You like that, hey?" as he wields the chainsaw by the car window.
The incident occurred in the Saint-Jeromein Quebec area and police arrested the man on charges of armed aggression.
Karine uploaded the video to Facebook, where it has been viewed over a million times.
According to the Montreal Gazette, in an interview later with TVA Nouvelles, Hermenier said he acted impulsively and should never have pursued the driver.
"I said to myself: 'I absolutely have to follow him, he has to be arrested,' " Hermenier said. "It wasn't the most intelligent move. I should have left it to police, but I was driven by my emotions."
The Mirror reports that he added: "It was a terrifying situation."
