A bride-to-be was shocked when a restaurant called her and her hen party "chavy, vile people" in response to negative online reviews the group left on the establishment's Facebook page.
Melissa Grogan-Morgan had her hen party at 47 King Street West in Manchester, and the group left feeling disappointed with the service after spending £600 at the establishment.
According to the Mirror, Melissa was not happy that the group was separated onto two tables, fresh starters could not be arranged for late arrivals, and that the manager had a bad attitude.
After airing this view on the restaurant's Facebook page, Melissa received a number of scathing responses, including: "The chaviest worst most vile people to ever grace our restaurant. Wouldn't know fine dining if it slapped them in their ugly faces! Best thing ever is that they won't return! Bottom of the barrel."
When Melissa's friend Lynsey Herron also left a disappointed review, Facebook replies from the restaurant included: "Chav cheap trash hen party!", followed by: "Turned up over an hour late. Booked for 10 then were 20. Never seen fine dining in their lives. The bottom of the barrel of society."
Megan's response read simply: "What a mature response?"
The Manchester Evening News reports that the restaurants Facebook and Twitter pages have since been taken down.
Melissa told the paper: "I'm just in complete disbelief at how rude and arrogant they have been - it's left a bit of a shadow over the whole occasion."
According to the Metro, a spokesman for the restaurant said: "The entire incident is regrettable and it has been both investigated and dealt with internally."
