Teens find bone of missing holidaymaker at UK beach
Two teenage girls who found a bone on a beach in Lancashire are now being urged to come forward by police - after it was identified as belonging to a missing holidaymaker.
The human bone was found near Rossall Point in Fleetwood, Lancashire, in October 2014.
The girls who found the bone handed it into the rangers' office at Rossall Point.
Police now want to talk to the girls to find out exactly where they found it after it was formally identified as belonging to Brice Veevers, from Nottinghamshire.
According to the BBC, Brice was reported missing in Blackpool in September 2013.
ITV News reports that he went missing after staying at a guesthouse in Blackpool with a friend.
His death is not being treated as suspicious, and his family has been informed of the discovery.
Speaking to the Nottingham Post, DI Jason Richardson of Blackpool CID said: "This is a very sad set of circumstances for the family and friends of Mr Veevers and my thoughts are very much with them at this time.
"We are keen to find out exactly whereabouts on the beach the bone was discovered so that we can begin a search of the area and we would urge the two girls who handed the bone in to the Rangers to come forward.
"I would also urge anyone else who uses the beach and may have found anything similar to get in touch with any information that could assist us with our search."
