Woman walks to church naked in freezing Siberia (video)

A woman has been caught on camera marching through the streets of snowy Siberia completely naked.

The woman was filmed on a mobile phone by a passerby, and can be seen wearing nothing but a purple turban while carrying a crying baby.

Other people can be seen walking past wearing furry coats to protect themselves from the freezing temperatures.

The woman stops outside an Orthodox Christian church and bows repeatedly before entering.

According to The Moscow Times, once inside, the woman told shocked church-goers she was exorcising 'evil spirits'.

The incident took place Sunday in the city of Nizhnevartovsk in western Siberia.

According to the Mirror, the woman was sent to a psychiatric facility while the unharmed baby was taken to a local hospital.

The woman is not thought to have any history of mental illness or drug abuse.

Meanwhile, this week, a man known as the Naked Rambler has lost his case at the European Court of Human Rights where he claimed he had a right to be naked in public.

Former marine Stephen Gough, from Eastleigh, Hampshire, had alleged that his repeated arrest, prosecution, conviction and imprisonment for being naked in public and his treatment in detention violated his rights.

The court unanimously found there had been no violation of Articles 8 and 10 of the Convention.

Gough, 54, has walked naked throughout the United Kingdom, from John O'Groats to Land's End, and is a well-known campaigner for his right to appear nude in public - even though his actions have often landed him in prison
