Named and shamed: the world's most inconsiderate passengers

A former flight attendant has turned to social media to publicly expose passengers who who behave badly on commercial flights, capturing them doing everything from putting their feet on the seats in front of them to peeing in the bathroom sink to clipping their fingernails.

Shawn Kathleen, who wants to be known only by her first name, was a flight attendant for seven years. She started passengershaming.com on Facebook and Instagram, to expose how people really act when flying.

The Facebook page was set up last year and has almost 94,000 likes, the Instagram account has attracted over 92,000 followers and the Twitter page has over 3,000 followers.

The idea came about after the success of her other blog, Rants Of A Sassy Stew, which she started over five years ago to catalogue her experiences as a flight attendant, reports Fox News.

Her collection of photos include people's feet in places where they don't belong: in the air, on the backs of or either side of someone's seat or dangling out onto the aisle. There are also plenty pictures of hands where they shouldn't be either and some very messy passengers.

Passenger Shaming seeks to expose the world's most inconsiderate travellers by posting photos of them on its social media accounts. Passengers and flight attendants are encouraged to share their photos on the site.

The website bio reads: "Are these assholes serious? Photos taken by anonymous flight attendants & passengers from all over the world. Don't end up here. "
