Man stuck in vagina statue has to be rescued by 22 firemen

An American exchange student was left a little red-faced after getting stuck in a vagina statue outside a university in Germany.

The student then had to be 'delivered' - okay, rescued - by 22 firefighters after the incident at Tübingen University.

According to the Mirror, it is thought the man climbed into the sculpture for a funny photo, but then slipped down and got his leg stuck at the bottom.

The man's friend was on-hand to take pictures of the embarrassing incident, and uploaded them to Imgur. On one he wrote: "I was there!!! He just wanted to take a funny picture."

And on another, he said: "The fire department was not really amused, and he was really embarrassed. But now happy that he is 1st on reddit!"

After a number of puns, the inevitable question was asked: "Okay.. so why do you have a statue of a vagina on your campus?"

And one Imgur user jokingly wrote: "It's a trap for american exchange students, and it works."

While another said: "My campus has a vagina statue too! It's a tradition to walk through it when we join the campus and then walk out of it when we graduate."
