A fairground worker in the Netherlands has miraculously survived after getting knocked down by his own ride.

The terrifying incident was caught on camera. The footage shows the ride manager being flattened after walking into the path of the spinning attraction.

According to the Sun, the 111ft swing is thought to have been travelling at around 50 mph when it hit him.

The unnamed man survived with a broken collarbone after being smashed to the ground by the spinning arm, which was carrying four people.

The accident happened during a festival in the city of Haarlem just west of Amsterdam, reports Nine News.

Meanwhile, back in April, a fairground attraction was closed while an investigation was carried out after a teenager fell from a ride in Worthing.

The 18-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Sussex Hospital in Brighton after she fell about 15ft from the Rocker ride on Marine Parade in Worthing, according to Sussex Police.

She is understood to have suffered minor injuries to her head and ankle.
