Holidays in Spain are beloved by the Brits for two main reasons: the almost relentless sunshine and the 5,000 miles of coastline graced with some of the world's most beautiful beaches.
While the majority of us head for the great beaches on the Costa del Sol and the Costa Blanca, there are lovely stretches of sand on all coastlines, so if you're heading to Spain this summer make sure you don't miss out on the lesser-visited beauty spots.
Some of the most incredible beaches are in the more remote spots: head to the wilder coastline of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, for example, and you'll find for windswept wildness on a big scale. Then there are the glorious sands of the Costa de la Luz with the spectacular views of the Atlas mountains, and the stunning coastline of Galicia.
Even on the well-trodden some of the city beaches are worth a visit in their own right. To help you get the most out of your next holiday in Spain, we asked TripAdvisor to name the top ten Spanish beaches as rated by reviewers, below. Let us know if you've been to any of these, whether you agree. And if let us know your favourite beach in Spain, we'll add it to the list!
