A Scottish tourist has died after falling from a hotel balcony while on holiday in Benidorm, Spain.

Morgan Lynn, 25, who was living in Edinburgh, was a popular women's football coach for Hibs Ladies and was on holiday with two friends at the time.

According to Travel Weekly, Morgan fell from the fifth-floor balcony of the Hotel Gala Placidia after returning from a night out at around 3am.

Ms Lynn grew up in the Borders and worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland. As well as being a football coach and player, she was qualified to teach rock climbing and loved horse riding.

According to the Edinburgh News, her parents Kenny, 49, and Wendy, 48, were too upset to talk about the tragedy.
