After reportedly declaring never to set foot in Australia again following a disastrous visit in 2013, Jeremy Clarkson has travelled to Sydney for the two-day Top Gear Festival Sydney.

The TV host was pictured with his former mistress Phillipa Sage in Sydney last year.

According to the Daily Mail, Clarkson insulted photographers and said: "You can take them out of England, but you just can't take the convict out of them."

News.com.au reported that he said he would never visit the country again.

But it was later claimed that it was someone dining with Clarkson who said: "You're the reason we won't come back to Australia."

The Top Gear presenter and his co-host James May decided to race from the UK to Australia on different flights.

Gizmodo reports that Jeremy flew via Singapore, while James travelled via Dubai.
