Skiing faceplant caught on video becomes online hit (video)

An epic faceplant that saw an extreme skier practically eat snow has been caught on camera and uploaded to YouTube.

According to the Metro, the thrill-seeker under-rotated while he was attempting a backflip across a road on Mount Baker in Washington.

So-called friend Ben Dann then uploaded the attempt, slowed the footage and added some music by American band Awolnation.

The video is called Mt Baker Gap Faceplant, and Mr Dann wrote the caption: "A valid attempt at a backflip over the Mt. Baker highway. Sometime she just don't pan out."
