Woman's body left undiscovered in snow-covered car for 11 days
A woman's body was found in the passenger seat of a car parked on a busy street in Philadelphia, US nearly two weeks after she went missing.
Nadia Malik was discovered in the snow-covered black Nissan with tinted windows which obscured the view.
NBC Philadelphia reports that the 22-year-old mother-of-two was under a pile of books inside the car which had even been towed as her body lay undiscovered as it received a number of parking tickets.
Marple Township Police Chief Thomas Murray told Associated Press: "Everybody says, 'Why didn't somebody see her.' She was kind of covered up pretty good in the car. Unless you were really peering into the car, you wouldn't know she was there. The car had very deep tinted windows."
Malik's boyfriend Bhupinder Singh, 25, was arrested at his parents' house in Ohio in connection with her death and will be extradited to Pennsylvania on Thursday for questioning.
According to USA Today, Malik called her brother in early February and said Singh was holding her against her will. A missing persons report was filed and she was found 11 days later.
