Amanda Holden could have been jailed for nude sunbathing in the Maldives

Amanda Holden could have been jailed after she sunbathed nude while on holiday in the Maldives.

The Britain's Got Talent judge broke Islamic law in the Indian Ocean islands which forbids nudism, The Sun reports.

The Daily Mirror reports that tourists who break the rules can end up in jail.

Amanda took to Twitter after her holiday and wrote: "Home sweet wet rainy home! After Amaze Maldives! Looking forward to comparing white bits."

Fellow Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon replied: "Can't wait to see my wife's white bits".

Holden responded: "There aren't many! #nudeyMama!"

Travel advice for the Maldives from the Foreign Office warns: "Nudism and topless sunbathing are not allowed anywhere, including on resort islands."

In 2009, Katie Price was photographed lying naked on a sunbed in the Maldives while on holiday.

A local fisherman reportedly said: "This woman's behaviour is unacceptable. If she comes to a Muslim country she should respect Islamic laws and customs."
