Holkham beach in Norfolk has been voted the best beach in Britain in a new survey of travel experts.
More than 100 travel editors and writers were asked to name their favourite places, both at home and around the world, in a poll carried out by travel website 101Holidays.
Although Norfolk took the top spot, Cornwall won the largest slice of the votes, with Watergate Bay deemed the best in the county.
Bantham beach in Devon also made the top 10, while the region's beaches were voted seventh best, just behind Dorset.
The travel journalists' favourite country was France, followed by India and Italy, while New York, London and Paris claimed the top three city spots.
