Katie Holmes tweets pics of Robben Island visit on Cape Town trip
Katie Holmes is currently in Cape Town, South Africa, filming her new movie The Giver with Alexander Skarsgard and Taylor Swift.
But it's not all work and no play as Katie has been keeping her new Twitter fans up to date with her trip, most recently with pics from a visit to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was kept a prisoner for 20 years.
My sincere gratitude to Ahmed Kathrada for showing me Robben Island today. It was an honor for me. Thank you pic.twitter.com/H76RBxG5qA

Katie thanked former prisoner and politician Ahmed Kathrada for her tour.
Katie has also visited the city's Table Mountain with daughter Suri, but bad weather may have ruined her pics.
She made the most of a better day, tweeting a pic of the view, writing: "Beautiful day in Cape Town."

And another tweet read: "Can't get over how beautiful it is here in South Africa."

She's also enjoyed cupcakes with co-stars on her days off from shooting and a visit to the Market on the Wharf eaterie - but it hasn't all been about what Katie wants to do. She was snapped taking daughter Suri to the Green Point Urban Park near the Cape Town Stadium for some climbing obstacles fun, as well as treating her to a trip to the city's Two Oceans Aquarium.
