One of London's finest hotels The Lanesborough is to close this December for "an extensive renovation project".
The hotel on Hyde Park Corner opened in 1991 and is set to reopen in 2014 after refurbishment.
According to Buying Business Travel, the hotel said it will have "new designs by world-renowned interior designer, Alberto Pinto" to enhance all rooms and public areas and integrate the latest innovations while retaining the building's architectural heritage.
The Daily Telegraph reports that before his death last year, Pinto took responsibility of the redevelopment and the hotel will continue with his plans.
