Updated

Rude or unfriendly locals can completely ruin a holiday. So if you're going away to cheer yourself up, there are a few places you might want to avoid.

The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report ranked 140 countries according to attractiveness and competitiveness in the tourist industry.

The friendliness of a country, or "attitude of population toward foreign visitors", was measured on a scale of 1 (very unwelcome) to 7 (very welcome) and the results are surprising.
