Thomas Cook launches hi-tech family holidays

Travel company Thomas Cook has launched a range of hi-tech resorts in a bid to keep families connected throughout their holidays.

SunConnect Resorts will offer family-friendly summer holidays with more than just free WiFi. Teen online gaming areas, dining rooms and a spacious pool will be available through all-inclusive holiday packages.

It is the first sun and beach holiday experience using digital technology including a user-friendly website, free wireless internet throughout the resort-site and the ability to book daily activities through smartphones and tablets.

A ConnectScout will support families and the web-savvy host will facilitate digital activities for the whole family, such as geocaching and Xbox gaming.

Ten resorts will be available for summer 2014 in popular destinations including Turkey, Cyprus, Gran Canaria, Majorca, Tunisia and Croatia.

And in case you want to 'disconnect', the resorts will have all the traditional facilities for when you need a digital detox too.
