A 'clairvoyant' bus driver has been sacked after he refused to pick up waiting children because he had a premonition that something bad would happen if he did.

The National Express driver was on the school run when he drove past the children in Dundee.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Dundee Council's education chief Stewart Hunter said: "It's good National Express has taken action.

"I can't comment on what's happened to the driver, but it's important for kids to be able to get to school on time. If the bus doesn't stop then that's something that worries me."

According to the Daily Record, the driver intends to appeal the decision against him.

Last month it was reported that a National Express bus driver in Dundee was sacked when he was caught on camera making an obscene gesture at a bus spotter.

The spotter presented the photo to bus bosses who took action against the driver.
