Video: Cute bunny released into wild by family is snatched by hawk

A baby rabbit that was nursed back to health by a family in Virginia, USA was swooped on by a hawk just moments after it was released in their garden.

A video of the moment the bunny is snatched was posted on YouTube and has been viewed nearly two million times.

Joey Gore, who uploaded the footage, captioned it: "Our little bunny that we found in the garage. Fed him for a week and let him go. Unfortunately the hawk had other plans... :("

In the video, Gore's wife says: "We are gonna let Krammer go so he can find his mummy."

As the bunny is released, a hawk swoops down and the little rabbit is heard squealing as it is carried away.
