A murder investigation is underway after a Russian woman claims her husband had been killed by his friends before being eaten when the group got lost on a fishing trip in Siberia.
Alexander Abdullaev, 37, and Alexei Gradulenko, 35, said that Andrei Kurochkina, 44, "died by himself, he froze to death" and that they started to eat him once he was dead.
But his wife Olga Kurochkina refuses to believe this.
According to the Komsomolskaya Pravda tabloid via the Daily Mail, Kurochkina said: "I've got a copy of the final post-mortem report. It says Andrei was murdered and then dismembered before being eaten.
"The cause of death was definitely not hypothermia or exhaustion."
According to the Siberian Times, Abdullaev confessed to cannibalism after investigators took him back by helicopter to where the friends got lost on a fishing trip in the Amur region last year.
Local media reports that Gradulenko, who is now assisting investigators, had escaped to Chita, then Moscow before vanishing altogether.
