Brave tourists take in the breathtaking views from new platform in Austria
A new viewing platform in Austria offers tourists spectacular views 360 metres over one of the country's most famous lakes.
The Welterbeblick Skywalk provides a panoramic view of the village of Hallstatt, a World Heritage Site.
According to Der Standard, the viewing platform cost 240,000 euros to build.
Kurt Thomanek, director of Salzwelten, a salt mine below the structure, told the Daily Mail: "Many visitors to Hallstatt visit the salt mines in a whistle-stop tour, not leaving much time to take in the area's natural beauty.
"They often travel through Europe too quickly and miss out on the many great things to do.
"We hope the walkway will change this."
