The Indianapolis Star reports that the third fatality was a teenager. One eyewitness told the paper that the bus was travelling at "a high rate of speed".

Carol Albright said: "It kind of pivoted on the nose of the bus and did a little bit of a twist. How it didn't hit another car, I don't know."

According to the Daily Telegraph, the bus was carrying 40 passengers, and the Indianapolis Fire Department had to free five people who stuck inside the bus after the crash.
