Police are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle crash at Gatwick Airport involving a lorry, a minibus and a taxi left nine people injured.

The collision on Wednesday happened on the A23 Airport Way at 5.45pm and the drivers of the white DAF lorry, white Vauxhall Vivaro minibus and blue Vauxhall Zafira taxi were taken to hospital suffering from minor injuries, The Argus reports.

Six passengers from the minibus were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

According to This is Sussex, the road was closed while an investigation was carried out and the wreckage was removed.

Police have asked witnesses to call 101 quoting reference 1247 of June 26.
