Take two... Game of Thrones walking Tours

Game of Thrones fans can now visit familiar filming locations on two new walking tours around Belfast and Dubrovnik, paying testament to the power of popular culture on tourism.

In Belfast, Viator has announced a nine-hour private tour along the Causeway Coastal Route, which will be instantly recognisable to any fans of the HBO TV series. Visit the caves where Melisandre of Asshai gave birth to a shadow baby road, cross the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, then stop for a spot of lunch at Lordsport Harbour. The tour also includes a stop at the UNESCO-listed Giant's Causeway.

And any fans visiting Croatia this year will be interested in the new three-hour walking tours in Dubrovnik which take fans to the setting of King's Landing, the capital of the Seven Kingdoms in the series. Check out Lovrijenac Fortress and climb the city walls that were attacked by the Baratheons in the first series, from which point they can look out over Blackwater Bay. According to Viator, a guide will also take visitors to several city parks used to film countryside scenes in the series.

Game of Thrones has also filmed in Malta, Iceland and Morocco. No tours have yet been announced, but watch this space...
