Skilful helicopter pilot balances chopper on crash barrier at accident scene
The amazing moment a skilful helicopter pilot gently balanced a chopper on a crash barrier to drop a doctor off at a car accident in a remote part of Norway was captured on video.
The footage shows the air ambulance slowly landing on the crash barrier to allow the doctor to leap out and help a van driver who was injured in a road crash near the Storvasselva Hammar tunnel in Snillfjord on Tuesday.
According to the Independent, the driver was eventually freed after being trapped in the vehicle, but his condition is unknown.
A Reddit user who posted the video on YouTube said: "This type of landing is relatively common in Norway. Similar landings will be executed on rock formations or on cabin roofs during mountain rescues."
