A woman came within a split-second of being hit by a speeding train after jumping onto the tracks to retrieve her mobile phone.

The incident happened at Corinthians-Itaquera train station in Sao Paulo, Brazil and was filmed by a commuter.

The Daily Mail reports that the footage shows the train coming in to the station as the woman is hauled up from the tracks by a security guard and another man.

According to NYDailyNews.com, the train driver blew on the horn as the brunette woman tried to get back onto the platform.

She threw her bag onto the platform but struggled to lift herself up.

The woman, who has not been identified, appeared overcome and let out a cry of relief as she was pulled up to safety by the two men. She reportedly walked away without injury.
