The world's most dangerous school run? Children walk along precarious cliff path
These children in China may not have to worry about crossing busy roads to get to school, but they do have a narrow mountain road to walk along.
The children navigate the narrow path to get to their school in Bijie, Guizhou Province.
According to Rex Features, Banpo Elementary School is located halfway up a mountain and each day students from the nearby Genguan village have to climb the winding footpath cut into the mountainside.
This footpath was created 40 years ago as an irrigation ditch and although there is another safer route, it means the children have to spend two hours walking to school.
Due to this, most of them opt for the narrow footpath, which takes less than an hour.
The pebble-covered footpath is less than 0.5 metres wide and means the children have to walk single file and press themselves into the side of the mountain if someone wants to squeeze past.
Headmaster Xu Liangfan, who accompanies the children on their walk, says the school has 49 students.
It may be one of the most dangerous school runs in the world but it also has the most spectacular views!
