Bond girl Berenice Marlohe missed the DVD launch of Skyfall when her plane from Los Angeles to London was flooded with toxic fumes.

The Daily Mirror reports that the actress, who played Severine in the Bond hit, was caught in a mid-air drama when the British Airways plane's cabin filled with fumes and had to make an emergency landing.

Passengers and crew on the Boeing 747 were advised to wear oxygen masks as a precaution after some began to feel unwell.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest and his dancer girlfriend Julianne Hough were also on the flight.

The three pilots and four flight attendants were taken to hospital for checks, while a number of passengers were treated by paramedics at the airport.

French actress Berenice, 33, was due to join her 007 co-stars on a specially branded Skyfall train from London's King's Cross station to Edinburgh on Friday.

According to Female First, British Airways confirmed the emergency landing was made as a precaution.

A spokesperson explained: 'Safety is always our top priority and as a precaution the captain diverted our Los Angeles to London service into Las Vegas after a suspected technical problem.'

The spokesperson added that the plane was checked over and had since returned to service.

A Skyfall spokesman said: 'It was a real shame Berenice was unable to attend our launch, where she was due to unveil the Skyfall train with fellow Bond actress Naomie Harris.

'Sadly Berenice's plane from Los Angeles was grounded in Las Vegas due to fumes in the cabin.'
