It's hard to keep an eye on your possessions when you're surrounded by dozens of seals and 200,000 king penguins.

And one naughty steal, sorry, seal, got a bit over-familiar with one tourist's bag as it sat in St Andrews Bay in South Georgia.

Photographer Paul Goldstein observed this cheeky young elephant seal taking advantage of the natural chaos of the bay to have a good nosy.

He told Rex Features: "Elephant seals have a thick skin and fur to keep them warm in the freezing cold waters, but this pup seemed to really want the waterproof gear in one hapless visitor's bag."

He looks pretty cute, so we'll let him off just this once...
