New Twitter feed shares hilarious pictures of commuters napping

A new Twitter feed called @SleepyCommuters that invites travellers to send in their best - and funniest - pictures of people having a nap on public transport has won more than 37,000 followers in less than a month.

So far there have been just 47 tweets, most of them showing commuters sleeping in a variety of uncomfortable, ungainly and undignified positions.

Sleepy Commuters promises: "All the best sleepy commuters in one place". The profile information continues: "Send us in your best pictures and they may be published - what's not to like? Train, Bus, etc..."

Tired passengers are pictured slumped in the seats, squashed against handrails and lying stiffly across seats.

Each picture has its own short caption, such as: "Oh dear", "Funniest one yet?" and "Looks comfy".

We've all dropped off on a bus or train from time to time - but from now on it might just be safer to stay awake.
