The star of Hotel Inspector and Country House Rescue, Ruth Watson, has been left red-faced after receiving just one out of five by the Food Standards Agency for her own venture, The Crown and Castle Hotel.

Ruth shot to fame advising other people how to improve their standards - and their business - on TV.

But she's been left fuming after receiving one of the lowest hygiene ratings for her own business, leading Suffolk Coastal District Council to cut dishes from the menu and suggest new food handling methods.

Watson pointed out the hotel in Orford, Suffolk, previously held the top grading and said she was planning court action.

According to the Mirror, she added: "We made every effort to resolve this with the Food Safety Team, but are unable to agree with their approach."
