Tess Daly and Vernon Kay fall out over holiday plans

TV couple Tess Daly and Vernon Kay are said to have fallen out after Vernon's filming schedule clashed with their holiday plans.

According to The Sun, the couple were supposed to go to the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius for a family trip with their two daughters early next year, but had to cancel their plans so Vernon could host new ITV show Splash!

Unfortunately this didn't go down well with Tess, who had just finished hosting Strictly Come Dancing for four months.

Tess is said to have told friends: 'We can't go on holiday because of Splash! I don't want to talk about it.'

A friend of Tess's later revealed: 'Tess understands Vernon wants to do the show, so he needs to be in the UK to honour his filming commitments.

'But it doesn't mean she is happy about cancelling their holiday. She loves Strictly, but it is a demanding show.'

Tess and Vernon wouldn't have been the only celebs catching some winter sun in the Indian Ocean. David and Victoria Beckham are currently in the Maldives on a £250k family holiday.
