London bar raided by police for selling cocktail flavoured with whale skin

A trendy bar in Shoreditch, London, has been raided by police after allegedly selling a cocktail infused with whale skin.
The Moby Dick, which contained "a small amount of whisky infused with a single 2[cm] x 5cm strip of dried whale skin", was being sold at the Nightjar in Hoxton.
The Met's Wildlife Crime Unit and a UK Border Force officer raided the bar on 3 December, amid a ban on whale meat and products across Europe, except under strict restrictions in Greenland and Denmark.
Police seized the bottle of whisky for testing, but no arrests have been made, reports The Sun.
According to the BBC, a statement from Bar Nightjar said: "We did have a drink on this year's menu which included a small amount of scotch whisky infused with a single 2 x 5cm strip of dried whale skin.
"The strip was purchased in a shop by an employee while on a trip to Japan in autumn 2011.
"Until the police visit, neither ourselves nor our employees were aware of the legislation under which the bottle was seized.
"In hindsight we realise that regardless of the legal framework around such products, it was an error of judgement on our part to include this on our menu, and we would like to offer our apologies to anyone who may have been offended by it."
The bar added that it has now removed the drink entirely from the menu.
Meanwhile, a bar in Canada sells a cocktail with a toe-tally gross twist.
The Sourdough Saloon in Dawson City, Yukon Territory, Canada, is serving up the Sourtoe drink for $5 (about £3) a pop.
The beer mug is filled with Champagne and has a reportedly real pickled toe waiting for you at the "foot" of the glass.
There's even a rhyme that goes with the drink: "You can drink it fast, you can drink it slow - but the lips have gotta touch the toe."
