Prince William and Kate Middleton are putting the topless photos row to one side for one night at least, as they spend an evening in a secluded £780-a-night lodge on the Solomon Islands.

The couple's bungalow at the Tavanipupu Private Island Resort, is right next to the shore of the 37-acre tropical island in the beautiful Marau Sound lagoon beside the Coral Sea.

Pamela Kimberly, co-owner of the island, who has spent $6 million buying and upgrading the resort in the past four years, told the Mirror: "It's not a huge house. It's not Buckingham Palace by a long stretch.

"But there is that outdoor shower. Two can fit in there. I think it's romantic."

Considering what happened after the Duchess went topless on holiday in Provence, South of France, we doubt she'll be doing that again anytime soon. But, should she want to, it wouldn't be a problem, says Ms Kimberly.

"They don't like you to show your legs - people use a sarong - but they don't mind if you show your cous-cous."

She added that visitors to the island were welcome to choose to wear anything or nothing. "We don't care what they do. There is only one rule: no rules."

House No.1, the royal couple's home for the night, has its own private jetty from where the pair could go swimming or snorkelling to see the wide number of fish, dugongs and even small reef sharks.

Irish chef Paul Carr has been practising their menu for the last two weeks, which offers delights like chilli mud crab.

Sounds like they're in for a night to remember...
