Who knew the Australian Outback was this beautiful?
These stunning swirling pictures are the product of photographer Lincoln Harris, who spent hours shooting the stars in Lake Eppalock, in the southern state of Victoria.
Using long exposure lenses on a Nikon D7000 and a Nikon D3100 camera, Lincoln joins hundreds of images of the foreground and the stars together to create the spectacular colour wheels, which are the result of the Earth moving, giving the impress the starts are travelling across the sky.
Lincoln told Caters: "I bought my first camera in October 2010, a Nikon D3100, because I wanted something decent for general picture taking and to sell clothes on EBay.
"I wasn't planning on getting into photography as a hobby but a week later I had about eight lenses and all the other goodies, I couldn't wait to get started.
"I've been shooting at least two or three times a week ever since, mainly landscapes, and star trails when the conditions are right, I'm lucky enough to live not too far from the outback.
"With no buildings for miles the sky is so clear and it's amazing to be able to capture the beauty of the night's sky on camera."
