Coming back to your car to find you've got a parking ticket is one thing, but returning to find it has been 'blown up' as well is quite another.
That's what happened to one unfortunate tourist today when he decided to leave his car just yards from the House of Commons and Westminster Abbey.

According to the Daily Mail, anti-terrorist police evacuated Parliament Square and carried out a controlled explosion on Nima Hosseini Razi's blue Ford Mondeo.
Mr Razi's car broke down in Storey's Gate, so he put a note on the dashboard that read: "This car is broken. I am just waiting for the AA to arrive. Please do not fine! Thank you, yours sincerely."

He then decided to pay a quick visit to take in Buckingham Palace but, while he was gone, police spotted the car and determined that it was a threat.

Mr Razi - an MBA student at the University of Wales on a day trip to London - returned to find his mangled car surrounded by police and, just to top it all off, a traffic warden issued him a ticket before his car was towed away.
Not the most successful sightseeing trip ever, then...
