Three Brits are to become world record breakers by completing the longest taxi journey ever taken.
Paul Archer, Johno Ellison and Leigh Purnell have circumnavigated the globe in a black cab - clocking up an estimated bill of £80,000 on their 15-month journey.
Due to arrive home this weekend, they will have driven more than 69,000km across four continents and 50 countries since their trip began in February 2011.
The trio, who met at university, bought the taxi for £1,300 from Ebay and decided to drive to Sydney in it to raise money for charity.
Their journey then expanded into a round-the-world tour, after they they were offered sponsorship by the Get Taxi app.
Their adventures included an arrest in Moscow, and deportation from Iran for 'spying'.
The friends have raised £20,000 for charity for the Red Cross.
Their efforts broke two world records: one for the longest cab ride, and one for the highest taxi journey, after they drove up to Everest base camp, 5,300m above sea level (above).
Surely they broke the world record for the most expensive cab ride ever too?
