Lovely weather for penguins! Britain's oldest couple enjoy the ice

Updated

We may all be complaining about having to set foot outside because of the freezing weather, but these penguins, from Sewerby Hall animal park in East Yorkshire, are having a really n-ice time.

The humboldt penguins are the UK's oldest living penguin couple - they're now the ripe old age of 21 - and the plummeting temperatures appear to have added a spark to their relationship as they cuddle up in the cold.

And it's not just the penguins having fun. Two loved-up polar bears in a at Hellaburnn Zoo in Hamburg, Germany, were snapped cuddling up to each other (below).

But the cold weather is not to all animal tastes, though. This pair of suricats had to be coaxed out into the cold with a heat lamp. We reckon they have the right idea.
