Coach company Megabus has launched a new overnight bus service - and travellers get bunk beds instead as well as seats.

The service is currently only running between London and Glasgow - and fares can cost as little as £1.

The sleeper has room for 24 passengers, with everyone getting a seat as well as a bunk. The beds are stacked three high, with the bottom one at feet level and each not much more than 2ft high.

Each bunk comes with a pillow, duvet, toothbrush, toothpaste, a reading light and plug socket and optional wi-fi - and you can draw a curtain across your bunk.

To give yourself the best chance of getting the £1 fare, it's wise to book six weeks in advance to travel on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Otherwise, fares can cost up to £40.
