When you're taking snaps for your next holiday album, just think - one of them could make you a fortune if the sale of the this photograph is anything to go by.
German artist Andreas Gursky's 'Rhine II' just became the most expensive photo ever sold after fetching £2.7 million at Christie's auction house.
The 1999 image of the Rhine was digitally altered by Gursky, who removed a factory building, cyclists and dog walkers, to portray an isolated but 'accurate image of a modern river'.
According to the Daily Mail, Christie's described the glass-mounted 80in by 140in print as 'a dramatic and profound reflection on human existence and our relationship to nature on the cusp of the 21st century'.
The picture is one of a group of six photos, four of which are showcased in museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Tate Modern in London.
The identity of the buyer has not yet been announced.
